What would you say would be the smartest shot in tennis? Obviously this is a bit subjective, yet Brady gives his take on what shot is a “no-brainer” when he encounters it on the tennis court.

Alcaraz plays this shot a lot, then,if it really is a good deep shot, following it in to get an easy volley or smash. Yes I like this shot in double’s especially because you’ve got extra width to play into and your doubles partner can often get an easy put-away. Thanks Brady🎾🎾

This speaks to me loudly on two fronts. One I do not incorporate enough the high return to force my opponent into an awkward shot. Second I need help on your put away shot at the finale. Can you give us pointers on setting up on the short ball? I can’t stop rushing myself (not setting my feet properly) or jamming my self (I run at the ball instead of properly setting up to hit a good shot).

While, yes, a backhand cross-court shot is one of the smartest shots, IMHO, so is a forehand cross-court. To me, both are pretty close to equal.

What’s the smartest shot for a lefty, who would be hitting into the right-handed opponents forehand?

What’s the smartest shot when you, as a righty, are playing a lefty who is hitting to your one handed backhand? Up the middle to try and get him to decrease the angles of his shots?
