The serve consists of many parts that all must flow together. In today’s lesson (2 of 5), Brady progressively goes through what should occur with the grip, racket path and racket face just prior to contact on the serve.

      Yes. It’s something I’ve also completely overlooked in my over 30yrs of coaching- believing that the technique at this stage should be the primary focus. In the past 5yrs, however, I’ve started to explain early-on, the “foot-fault” and the other “imaginary line” that runs from the service mark to the back fence that may not be touched until ball-contact.

      –I’ve also found that most rec players (without the presence of spectators or linesmen), will pay less attention to this…
