The slice forehand is a rarity in today’s game, however there are some appropriate times to use one. In today’s lesson, Brady demonstrates 3 times it’s advantageous to hit a slice forehand.

Brady,
I like to use the slice forehand on a return of serve in doubles to return a low short ball to bring the server in, which if done right gets you a higher floating ball to then put away at the net. Or a drop as you suggest.
Lefty that plays deuce, so harder getting a deep cross court return on what is a more neutral or t-serve. If a serve that stands up, I tend towards attacking the net player.
Good or bad strategy?
