Oftentimes you have a choice between rushing forward and taking the ball as a low volley or being patient and taking the ball off the bounce as a half-volley. Brady discusses what he thinks is generally the better play in today’s video.

    Hmm, first time ever that you haven’t fully convinced me Brady. At your height you have great reach to make a low volley, most of us don’t. I’ll always try to make the volley if I can, but I often can’t get there so I play a half volley. Also by its very nature a low volley is always hit up. I’d tend to favour a half volley but with the proviso that you must get your weight moving forward and on top of it. Get it right and I also think it can be a more attacking shot.
