Is pronation a must on all serves? Absolutely. There are two big reasons you should be pronating on every serve you hit. Find out what those are in today’s lesson with Brady.

Could you show us what pronation looks like on the serve?

Learning to pronate on my serve (especially to the add side) has been a tremendous boost to my game. It keeps me competitive with some really good players . On the other hand, I have yet to try it on overheads. I’ll give it a try in hopes of adding more power to my typically weak overhead.

I have a pretty good serve, strong 4.0 player, but really don’t know if I pronate or not; the serve motion happens so fast that I assume that I’m pronating as I’m getting good pop and accuracy. I’d have to film myself to really know.

Have also always wondered how pronation really works on kick and slice serves, especially slices. Since one is more or less “carving” the outside of the ball to get action on it at contact, how is pronating actually happening?
