    Thanks Brady…I have noticed over the years that there are a lot player are getting to balls that I cannot. Thought it was just because of aging. Looks like this will be a good way to make some good ‘gets’. Will give your suggestion a serious effort. Thank You!

    Also for the volley, where the passing shot comes at a large distance, close to the side line, first moving the ball-near leg a bit towards the ball then crossing over the ball-far leg allows one to reach almost all balls (if they are not too fast 😉 One can easily check by trying out that doing the two steps in this order allows for covering a larger distance than first moving the ball-far leg and then the other. I have been training this for quite a while but never though about starting all moves to distant balls in this way, but it makes absolutely sense. Thank you.

    Good tip on improvement of movement for a faster, more efficient move to the ball. I’m 6-4 and at age 80 I have lost some quickness so I’m going to work on your suggestion.
